10,000 year ice

Check out this incredible glacial blue ice. This if from thousands of years of snow, ice, and pressure. It lost most of the oxygen and formed a denser type of ice that reflects blue with sun refraction. Pretty incredible stuff. This was a iceberg floating near the San Rafeal Glacier in Chile. An amazing site. We were floating in a Zodiac boat zipping by here. Posted by Picasa
